fever
Fresh off a big home-opening win against the Yankees today, along with the unveiling of their world championship rings and banner, the town is alive with Red Sox fever. So fittingly enough, the movie Fever Pitch came out this past weekend. Joining the craze, I saw it Saturday night. I gotta say it was a good movie. Jimmy Fallon played a great Red Sox fanatic, and Drew Barrymore was a fitting love interest. I liked the gratuitous shots of Boston with local spots highlighted, like Newbury St. and of course Fenway park. I knew I recognized Drew's supposed appartment building in the Back bay, so at lunch today I walked down the street and confirmed my thoughts that the building is at the corner of Marlborough and Clarendon.
Who knows if they'll be able to repeat as champs, but one this is for sure, baseball is back in Boston and Red Sox fever is alive!
