Had a little celebrity sighting last night on my walk home from work. I was walking toward the public garden and saw Mike O'Malley on the corner. He was with his wife and was talking to another guy. Most people haven't heard of him, but I do recall seeing him in Yes Dear, a sitcom on CBS. Not too exciting, but a celeb sighting nonetheless.

the catch

The best play in CU football history, and one of the top college football plays ever celebrates its 10 year anniversary today. Michael Westbrook's hail mary catch from Kordell Stewart against Michigan in the big house was a phenomenal play. I remember watching it at home and knowing that it was one of the best plays ever. I still haven't seen a better play in the ten years since.
ahh... the good ol' days of coach McCartney...

on the road

Well the Buffs sent the Mean Green packin back to Fouts field with a CU victory, 52-21. And the Buffs are 3-0 for the first time in 5 years! Keep it up boys.

I'm currently in the middle of my weekend travel bender. It was CO, then CT, then PA and NYC last weekend, and ME this weekend, and finally back in MA the next two weekends. whew...

Mean Green

As the Mean Green of North Texas University prepare to play CU this weekend up in Boulder at Folsom Field, one must be reminded of where the Mean Green come from. And no I'm not necessarily talking about Denton, TX. Although that is where UNT is located, what I'm talkin about is the venerable Fouts Field!
Nonetheless, I'll be happy to see the Buffs beat the Mean Green and send them back to Fouts Field losers.

since i turned 27 just over a month ago, i've been ruminating over my life a lot lately, and going back to campus this past weekend sure didn't help...
at least i'm not alone.
i think most young adults who have been out of college a few years have experienced, or are experiencing a quarter-life crisis.
