As heard on the L&F show this morning, some woman in the UK is going on the anti-diet, and aims to hit the 42 stones mark. Now that doesn't sound like much, until you realize that 1 stone equals 14 pounds, so this woman is trying to hit 588 pounds! Apparently she started out at 10 stones, and is already up to 25. Pretty soon she'll be rolling like the stones.

Dumping Station
Apparently the Dave Matthews Band didn't get the memo about using a dumping station to unload the bus' waste in Chicago a couple weeks ago. What's worse is all the people on the architectural tour boat on the Chicago river that happened to be under the bridge when the bus decided to unload. I've actually been on that boat tour, and its nice, but who would think going under one of the many bridges would be so foul. And the part about the lady having her mouth open on the boat... too funny. Gives new meaning to being up sh*t creek!

travishamockery
I'm not a big gymnastics fan, but what happened last night deserves a little attention. If there was ever a quintessential moment to use travishamockery (and yes, thanks to Miller brewing company's ad agency, it is a word), last night at the men's gymnastics event finals was that time. How else can you explain how Russian gymnist Alexei Nemov, after flipping and twisting high above the bar an amazing five or six times (I lost count in my amazement), and landing the dismount, with only a minor step, ended up in fifth place. It truly was a travisty, a sham, and a mockery of the sport, or to sum it up in one word, a travishamockery!
But I guess that's what happens when you involve judges. I've never been a big fan of sports that are judged; there is just too much room for error or subjectiveness or politics or whatever you want to call it. It happened on Monday night for the men's all around competition, and last night surely won't be the last time. Its a shame really, because those are some incredible athletes out there competing.
Big props to the Greek fans for letting the judges (and the whole world) know how big of a travishamockery it was!
Kudos to Paul Hamm for shaking off the pressure and performing very well!
In the words of Kip Dynamite... Peace out!

That's what I'm talkin' about
Welcome to my first official posting to Fouts Facts. This blog will basically consist of a smorgasbord of topics; anything from movies I've seen lately that are worthy of mention, to the latest news of my favorite sports teams (Buffs, Broncos, Avs, Red Sox...), to some completely random website, like my latest favorite, menwholooklikiekennyrogers.com .
So to start off the action, I'll take you to rural Idaho, where Napoleon is Dy-na-mite! Easily the best movie of the summer, Napoleon Dynamite , was fantastic. I can't stop talking about it with anyone who's seen it. Highly recommend you go and check it out ASAP! Maybe you'll be able to throw a football a quarter of a mile after you see it...
Speaking of football, the latest news out of Boulder doesn't look to good for Barnett and the boys. Looks like wonderkid Jeremy Bloom won't be back on the gridiron this year for the Buffs, at least according to this article on ESPN.com Nonetheless, I can't wait to check out the first game of the season at Folsom on Sept. 4 and watch us slaughter the Rams. Go Buffs!
One last thing for today... I love corn dogs!
